  • By cooperative system we understand an interaction between actors (road operators, infrastructures, vehicles, their drivers and other road users) with the intention to offer the safeties, the most reliable and the most comfortable transportation.
  • The purpose of the Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) deployed in the SCOOP project is to enable communication between vehicles and between a vehicle and the road infrastructure by using the WLAN ITS G5 (5,9GHz) frequency.
  • The architecture contains components that interact directly on the road and back-office components for the coordination of the overall traffic management and the security of the system.
  • The cooperative message broadcast logic distinguishes 3 steps :
    • transmission of a message,
    • reception of a message and,
    • processing of the received message.

Once received, cooperative messages can be relayed.
